There
were 1,592 deaths, according to data from Johns
Hopkins University. Number of cases went back from
60 thousand in 24 hours, after two days with a
slight drop

The
United States recorded 1,592 deaths
from Covid-19 in 24 hours, the worst daily
balance in two and a half months, according to
figures from Johns Hopkins University, a
reference in the monitoring of the pandemic on
Tuesday (28th july).
The
country had more than 60,000 new contagions
in one day, after a slight drop in the previous
two days. It is necessary to go back to mid-May to
find a daily balance of deaths worse than this
Tuesday: on May 15, 1,680 deaths were recorded.
Florida
is the state of most concern, with 186 dead in 24
hours, exceeding the 6,000 deaths from the
coronavirus. It is now the second state with the
highest number of cases, over 440,000, behind
California - the most populous state in the
country.
The
two states have already exceeded the number of
cases detected in New York, which for weeks was
the epicenter of Covid-19 in the country.
Faced
with the explosion in the number of cases, experts
fear that the death curve will follow the same
trajectory, with delay, since the scientific
consensus is that the wave of deaths will occur
three to four weeks after the contagion.
The
USA is the country with the highest number of
cases of the disease in the world, 4,309,230, also
according to Johns Hopkins. The deaths already
total 149,209.
